Bintel Extension Tube 80mm (2")

Slips into 50.8mm (2") focusers or diagonals and provides 80mm extension to allow eyepieces to come to focus.

When do I need one? If eyepieces/cameras get close but are not quite in focus with the focuser racked all the way out then the extension tube will help.
You may experience this with telescopes configured for photography such as ED80 and Meade Schmidt-Newtonian telescopes.

The extension tube can also be used for increasing image scale when doing projection photography.

Bintel extension tubes are threaded on the bottom to take 2" filters - useful if you want to use 1.25" eyepieces with 2" filters.

Brass compression rings are used to prevent damage to eyepiece barrels.
