High Quality Optics
Every Bintel telescope has an expertly figured
and polished parabolic mirror made from optical grade BK7 glass.
It's guaranteed to be diffraction limited, meeting the theoretical resolution
for its size.
The mirror is mounted in an aluminium cell
that allows rapid equilibration of the mirror to outdoor temperature. The
precision secondary mirror is held in a fully adjustable four-vaned spider.
Crayford Design Focuser
Bintel Dobsonians are equipped with a teflon
lined 2" Crayford Design focuser. This design offers smooth drawtube motion
without backlash. Includes 1.25" adapter and brass retainer ring.
New
Braking System
The New Braking System stops heavy eyepieces
from over balancing the telescope. This simple yet effective sytsem makes
the Dobsonian easier to balance and easier to use.
Superior Stability
The base has a higher cross brace for added
rigidity and feet for better ground clearance. Teflon smooth azimuth bearings
provide silky smooth movement of the tube. There's no vibration, backlash
or mechanical slop.
The Altitude Bearing System uses a Roller
Bearing incorporated in the New Braking System
Cooling Fan
A 12v DC Cooling Fan will help the mirror
to cool down to ambient temperature quicker.
Every Bintel Telescope has
been given a full checkup by our factory trained technicians prior to sale.
The Optical Tube Assembly
is spotted and collimated to ensure your new telescope is going to perform
as you would expect.
