There is usually a discussion of recent events of interest in the astronomical world, then a short talk. If the sky is clear after the main meeting, there will be the chance to observe the sky with members’ telescopes or binoculars. Even from this suburban location, it is possible to see the Moon and planets (when favourably positioned), plus star clusters, nebulae and galaxies beyond our own Milky Way galaxy.
