A star party in wine country? Count us in! A few of us just spent the last weekend of September in the Hunter Valley with the Northern Sydney Astronomical Society. The party got underway beneath cloudy skies (which understandably isn’t the best for folks trying to stargaze), but it did give us an opportunity to kick back and get to know the members of this lively society. Not to worry, before long the clouds very kindly stepped aside to allow for great seeing conditions, ending the party on a great note for everyone involved; even those hard to please imagers!
Whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned veteran of the sky, there really is something for everyone to have a great time at the Hunter Valley Star Party.
