The HAZ 712 Alt-Az strain wave gear joins the iOptron SWG mount family!

This relatively compact heavier payload mount will deliver an astronomy experience like never before. The mount easily accommodates both a binocular and a telescope through its multiposition saddle that can be located on a “top” or a “side” configuration to best suited for the instrument selected. Set-up is so easy, just turn the mount on and it will calibrate itself and go to the first target utilizing our time-tested “Lever and Go” routine.

Utilizing state-of-the-art strain wave gear technology for both RA and DEC movement, the HAZ 712 delivers unparalleled weight to payload efficiency. Its black anodized all metal CNC machined body is not only appealing to the eye, but it’s a rugged platform that will perform at the highest level for many years to come. Unique features such as an electronic friction brake on both AZI and ALT allow the mount to safely stop.

The HAZ 712 mount can be controlled by a computer, either via ASCOM/Commander for a Windows PC or a third-party INDI driver for a MacOS software; a SmartPhone/Tablet via iOptron Commander Lite or an App like SkySafari; or an iOptron iMate Astronomy Control Box and other Pi device via INDI driver.
