Each guide scope ring has a Losmandy DVA clamp allowing you to attach your guidescope on and off without the need for tools. The clamps allow repositioning of the rings to achieve a balanced payload ensuring the smoothest tracking and guiding.

A cautionary note on choosing the correct sized DVR Guide Scope rings by way of example
Some popular guide scopes such as Orion’s Short tube 80x400mm have a front lens cell larger than the 80mm diameter tube.
The telescope’s oversized 100mm dew shield and lens easily passes through the DVR108 rings but will not fit through the DVR90 rings. In this instance the DVR108 guide scope rings should be used.
Always be sure to measure your guide scope at the largest diameter that needs to pass through the DVR guide scope rings.
