Bintel is proud to announce the Australian release of the Nikon Monarch ED Fieldscopes – the newest addition to Nikon’s spotting scope range, and modelled off their most trusted binocular series. During advanced testing, we were very impressed by the quality of these field-flattened high-end optics, which come at a very reasonable price. Since release in 2016, they have proven popular amongst many of our customers, and do an excellent job no matter what the use!
Monarch binoculars are already well-regarded by birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts worldwide, and these new fieldscopes combine the very same high-quality optics with a portable and functional spotting scope. Not only do they feature extra-low dispersion (ED) glass, but additionally of a field flattener, which assures a sharp and clear view all the way to the lens periphery. The end result is a scope with rapid focus which provides crystal clear views.
The Bintel Package
All Nikon Monarch ED Fieldscope purchases from Bintel include both the scope body and eyepiece, but additionally a carry strap and stay-on-case.
MONARCH Fieldscope Key Features
- Advanced Apochromat Optical System with ED (extra-low dispersion) glass minimises chromatic aberration to the furthest limit of the visible light range, realising a contrast-rich, clearer field of view
- Field Flattener Lens System provides consistent sharpness across the entire field of view, all the way to the periphery
- Multilayer coating is applied to all lens and prism surfaces for natural and bright images
- Bright and clear view is achieved with a total reflection prism.
Straight models use a Porro prism, while angled-type models employ Nikon’s original prism.
- Optimised Focusing System provides different focus speeds that allow you to operate at an optimised speed; fine action for focusing on distant subjects and coarser action for nearby subjects
- Three eyepieces exclusively designed for MONARCH Fieldscopes. All eyepieces feature a Type 1 Bayonet Mount with lock for easy attachment and detachment.
- Aluminium alloy body employed for high durability
- Waterproof and fog-free with nitrogen gas*
- *The product will suffer no damage to the optical system if submerged or dropped in water to a maximum depth of 1 metre/3.3 feet for up to 10 minutes (NOT designed for underwater usage)
- Built-in sliding hood blocks harmful light to the optical system and protects the objective lens

- Three eyepieces exclusively designed for MONARCH Fieldscopes. All eyepieces feature a Type 1 Bayonet Mount with lock for easy attachment and detachment.
- Field Flattener Lens System provides consistent sharpness across the entire field of view, all the way to the periphery
- Multilayer coating is applied to all lens surfaces for natural and bright images
- Long eye relief design ensures a clear field of view, even for eyeglass wearers
- Turn-and-slide rubber eyecups facilitate easy positioning of the eyes at the correct eyepoint
- Waterproof structure* sealed with O-ring when attached to a MONARCH Fieldscope body (Eyepiece is not waterproof)
- *Equivalent to rainfall of 5mm (0.2 in.) per minute for a duration of 30 minutes. (NOT designed for underwater usage)
- Compact digital camera COOLPIX series and Advanced Camera Nikon 1 series can be attached using optional digiscoping accessories (Some models are not compatible)
