The Tele Vue 2 Inch Extension Tube helps your telescope reach focus when not using a diagonal, for example when doing astrophotography, by using up back focus that would otherwise be used by the diagonal. It features a brass compression ring with locking thumb screw to prevent marring of any nose piece inserted into the barrel.

Telescope drawtube extensions help your telescope reach focus when not using a diagonal — as is the case in many imaging applications. They are also useful (with or without diagonal) when you need more out-travel for focusing on nearby terrestrial subjects.
