ZWO 1600MM Mini Kit3
Great DeepSky Colour Imaging Kit with H-alpha filter included.
ZWO has packaged the popular ASI1600MM Pro Astronomy Camera with Mini Electronic Filter Wheel & New 1.25″ LRGB Filter Set and the 7nm H-alpha filter for enhanced imaging.
ZWO ASI 1600MM-Pro
DDR Memory Buffer
ASI1600 Pro camera includes a 256MB DDR3 memory buffer to help improve data transfer reliability. Additionally, the use of a memory buffer minimizes amp-glow, which is caused by the slow transfer speeds when the camera is used with a USB 2.0 port.
ZWO’s ASI1600 Pro offers very good performance for astrophotography – low read noise, low dark current, high dynamic range.
The ASI1600MM Pro uses a 12bit ADC but can provide 12.5 stops dynamic range thanks to its extremely low read noise (even better than the popular KAF8300).
Reliable Mechanical Structures
Refinements to the new ASI1600MM Pro ensure a properly sealed CMOS sensor chamber. This design has been fully tested and is very stable.
Even under high humidity environments, the ASI1600MM Pro still works fine and won’t have dew problems.
USB 3.0 Port & USB2.0 HUB
USB 3.0 Port: Provides 5Gb bandwidth making it possible for the ASI1600MM Pro to run at 14.7 fps (12bit, normal mode) or 23fps (10bit, high speed mode) at full 16MP resolution (4656×3520). Much faster frame rates can be achieved using region of interest (ROI).
A 12V at 3A~5A or more DC adapter is necessary for cooler power supply (2.1*5.5, center positive). SLA or other battery from 9-15V is also suitable for a cooling power supply.
NOTE: POWER SOURCE FOR TEC COOLING IS NOT SUPPLIED WITH THE CAMERA
See Optional ZWO Power Adapter
USB 2.0 HUB: Power various accessories, such as filter wheel, guide camera and electronic focuser from the in-built USB2.0 hub. Cable management is easy using the 2 short 0.5m USB2.0 cables supplied with the ASI1600MM Pro. Power is applied to the hub from your external power supply if you connect it.
ZWO Electronic Mini Filter Wheel
Compacts and light weight. The EFWmini is also low profile. Weighing just 300g, it is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. ZWO say it’s “the smallest and most lightweight 1.25″ Electronic Filter Wheel in the world”, however it remains big on performance. The body is CNC machined from a full block of aircraft grade aluminium. The profile is very thin at only 20mm deep. The carousel accepts 5 standard 1.25″ mounted filters or 31mm unmounted filters.
Smart electronics allows the filter wheel to rotate in both directions making filter changing fast and precise.
Only one USB cable is enough to power up the EFW with maximum power consumption of only around 150ma@5V
Even better you can power it from the USB2.0 hub of ZWO’s latest cooled cameras.
The distance between the filters and sensor is around 10mm when you connect the ASI1600 to this EFW. This means no vignetting with 1.25″ filters down to f/5. With 31mm unmounted filters vignetting won’t be a problem as fast as f/2.
ZWO 1.25″ LRGB Filter Set
The ZWO LRGB 1.25″ filter has better transmission, better coating, better colour separation
the RGB colour combine weights will be approximately 1:1:1
- Fine-optically polished to ensure accurate 1/4 wavefront
- more than 92% transmission at bandpass
- Infrared wavelength 700-1100nm cut-off
- Precision off-band blocking
- Multi-layers anti-reflection coating
- Small spectral “gap” to minimize effect of light pollution
- More parfocal – thickness 2 mm
- Name: ZWO 1.25″ LRGB filter (4 filters)
- Size: D=1.25″
- Thickness: 2mm
ZWO 7nm 1.25″ H-alpha Filter
The ZWO H-alpha 7nm filter is centered around 656.3nm. H-alpha is the most abundant emission line in all nebulae, emitted by atomic hydrogen which makes up about 92% of the universe. The narrow bandwidth of H-alpha will remove all light pollution increasing contrast of the H-alpha emission lines seen in most nebulae.
The ZWO H-Alpha filters light transmission rate comes up to 80%. Best choice of narrowband H-alpha astrophotography filter for high-contrast imaging and revealing rich details of the nebula even in areas with strong light pollution, just prepare to experience the infinite fun with it !
H-alpha filter is the first narrowband addition to LRGB set for most imagers who blend a black-and-white Ha image into RGB data to enhance structural detail while maintaining natural look
ZWO 1600MM Mini Kit3 has everything you need to take perfect Colour Deepsky images and enhanced images (using Ha filter).
