ZWO
ZWO ASI220 MM Mini Autoguider CMOS Camera
$479.00
This product will be available for sale in 2 weeks, but you can pre-order now to receive 10% discount!
Sensitive monochrome guiding in a 1.25-inch body
The ASI220MM Mini uses a 1920 × 1080 monochrome SC2210 sensor with 4 µm pixels. Its broad spectral response and short-back-focus body suit guide scopes and compatible off-axis guiders.
Match pixel scale to the guide scope
At a given guide focal length, pixel pitch determines how finely the star image is sampled.
Find stars across a wider rectangle
The active area measures 7.68 × 4.32 mm. An off-axis guider’s prism and the telescope determine how much of that field is illuminated.
Make use of faint guide-star light
ZWO’s quantum-efficiency curve shows a broad response that extends into the near infrared.
Set guide focus without adding a bulky camera body
The Mini slides into a compatible 1.25″ holder. This gives room to adjust focus behind an off-axis prism. The M28.5–CS adapter supports other connection arrangements where the lens and spacing are suitable.

Guide sensor curves and connections

Full well
The charge a pixel can hold before saturation. The low-gain end is marked at about 8,800 electrons and falls as gain rises.

Conversion gain
The electrons represented by one digital count. The unity-gain marker is near gain 68.

Dynamic range
The span between the noise floor and saturation. The plotted range recovers around the high conversion gain transition, then declines.

Read noise
Noise introduced when the sensor is read. ZWO marks high conversion gain at 106, where read noise falls to around 1 electron RMS.

Quantum efficiency
The guide sensor peaks around 500 nm at roughly 92%, then falls towards 1000 nm.
